Product details
Solihiya is the open, star-like cane weave found on old Filipino planter's chairs. The frame is built first, then the cane is woven straight onto it, strand by strand. It takes one weaver about three days per chair.
The seat is low and deep for sitting back, and the wide arms hold a cup of coffee. A thin seat pad in natural cotton canvas comes with it.
Made to order in 5 to 6 weeks. The price depends on the finish and cushion fabric you choose. Send an enquiry and we'll quote, then send photos of the frame before it is woven.

Care and cleaning
Blot spills on the cane with a dry cloth, then wipe the frame with a damp cloth and dry.
Unzip the cushion cover and hand wash it cold. Don't wash the foam.
Keep out of direct sun and damp; cane can sag if it stays wet.
Re-oil the frame every 6 to 12 months.
